Actor Keval Dasani shares why people will like the short film Red Shirt

Actor Keval Dasani, who has done many popular shows like Medically Yours, Gandii Baat Season 6 and Aapke Aa Jane Se will be soon seen in FNP media’s short film Red Shirt. Speaking about his character Keval says, ”He is a simple tech-savvy office-going guy. A loner and a shy person who becomes desperate about things he likes. I have taken up this project only because of the strength of the character - a very dark one. The story is also relatable with today’s social media dependent world. It will help people understand the pros and cons of the mad social media race.”

According to you what’s the USP of Red Shirt? “Thanks to the pandemic, many new active social media users and participants have come up. The competition on social media has touched the sky. Everyone wants to be famous, influence audiences irrespective of whether they have something worth sharing or influencing. They just want to get famous even if it brings down mental health, creates depression and anxiety in the surroundings. So this film will literally bring down social media abusers. From normal users to big influencers, everyone will relate to this film. This film is a thriller – a mixture of love, friendship, social media with a true message so definitely everyone is going to love it.”

Keval describes the Red Shirt team as amazing. Everyone is young and very passionate and thus the set was full of fresh energy. So do you like the thriller genre? “I am a fan of thriller films. I love the stories and characters in thriller films. Recently I have fallen in love with Blacklist on Netflix. My Favorite thriller film of all time is The GodFather series of films.” Speaking about his shooting experience in Mumbai during the pandemic Keval adds,” We have mostly shot the film in Mumbai itself. It was a very real experience as the sets were real.”

So how will you define FNP? Keval says,”I found FNP to be a prominent platform for both actors and audiences. Space where audiences will find really interesting and entertaining films with relatable messages while critics will find strong content. FNP has the strength to become a big name in the coming times.” Keval will be next seen in Cartel the biggest series from the Alt Balaji.
