It was my mom's dream to see me on-screen: Mrunal Jain

Mrunal Jain is gearing up for the release of his Akshay Kumar-starrer "Sooryavanshi", and revealed that he became an actor because of his mother. He said, "I always wanted to be an automobile engineer, design cars and be among cars. But it all started from Gladrags in 2007 when I first walked the ramp and became a model."

He added, "It was my mom's dream to see me on-screen, and that's how I pursued my dream of becoming an actor and it became my passion."

The actor made his television debut with "Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki" in 2008, and has so far featured in eight shows including "Bandini", "Hitler Didi", "Uttaran" and "Bandhan", to name a few. He was also seen in three Bollywood movies and a web series which was titled "26 January".

On the work front, Mrunal will soon start working on Azra Syed produced web series based on the Rohtak Sisters incident. The show will be directed by Manoj Singh and will see the actor playing a central character.
