Whistling Woods International and Mumbai Metro Rail Corporationassociate for an industry-academia collaboration to document the making of Mumbai Metro 3 in 360-degree Virtual Reality

 Mumbai, 08 February,2021: Whistling Woods International (WWI) and Mumbai Metro RailCorporation (MMRC) signed a MOU for industry-academia collaboration tofurther the cause of Emerging Media Content and Cinematic Virtual Reality(VR). This is yet another important milestone in Whistling Woods International'journey into immersive content, immersive content education and creatingIndia's 1st generation of Cinematic VR filmmakers.





What started off as an academicexercise of documenting, in 360VR, a once-in-a-lifetime event of theconstruction / making / coming together of the Mumbai Metro 3 line has nowbecome a formal industry-academia engagement. WWI will work with MMRC toproduce approximately a dozen short videos in 360 Virtual Reality documentingthe 'Making of Mumbai Metro 3' in 360deg Virtual Reality & showcasing it inall its immersive glory to future generations.





Present at the signing were Shri.Ranjit Singh Deol, Managing Director, MMRC, Shri. R Ramana, ExecutiveDirector , MMRC, Ms. Meghna GhaiPuri, President, WWI & Mr.Chaitanya Chinchlikar, Vice President & CTO, WWI. The continuedsupport of Smt. Ashwini Bhide, former MD, MMRC played a vital role in thisassociation. 





Speaking at the occasion, Ms. MeghnaGhaiPuri, President, WWI said, "We are proud to associate with the MMRCfor this industry-academia collaboration to further the cause of Emerging Mediacontent and Cinematic Virtual Reality. It is absolutely befitting that suchimportant works be documented with the latest technologies to preserve andimmortalise it for the future generations.
